Complex Case Management

"It is the trade of lawyers to question everything, yield nothing, and talk by the hour." Thomas Jefferson

"If you can't convince them, confuse them." Harry Truman

"Lawyers spend a great deal of their time shoveling smoke." Oliver Wendell Holmes

Complex case management arises in a variety of contexts in the course of disputes. Frequently, it comes in the guise of discovery disputes and most often, becomes necessary in complex litigation which may require significant resources to manage discovery. It often masks itself in combative, aggressive, contentious, hostile personalities who are bent on their approach, regardless of the cost in time or money.

Amy has the calm composure to assist the parties in stepping away from the personality issues and discovery/case management disputes in order to deal with the practicalities that will allow the dispute to move forward on its natural trajectory toward resolution, trial or arbitration. Frequently, a reflective unwinding of the situation will cause the parties to come together and move toward the common goal of resolving the dispute in whatever fashion makes good sense for the clients involved.
